Downtown Ministries
Downtown Ministries builds consistent relationships with Athens youth and their families through sports and education programs, outreach, and community meals.
The Big House Museum
Beginning in January 1970, the BIG HOUSE in Macon was the place where members of the Allman Brothers Band, their roadies, friends, and families lived until 1973. It was the focal point of gathering in those early years when the magic that is the Allman Brothers Band was taking shape and radiating from the historic Southern town of Macon.
Bob Johnson worked as chairman of The Big House Foundation and was instrumental in founding the museum.
The Big House Museum is now home to the most extensive collection of ABB memorabilia globally and hosts visitors and fans from all over the country and the world.
